Still, I think Vista is likely just a half assed hybrid of the
dumbest crap from XP and the most retarded services from Server
2003, and won't require much to migrate to, programmatically, but
will require lot's of downers to actually live with. Much like ME,
which was the bastardization of 98SE and 2000.
Also- Thanks Mike, for pointing out the threads issue to me. I
didn't even realize that RB was limited to co-op threads. Now I see
why there's a problem with the current features set. I mean, hell,
I felt like I was escaping from the drab world of C++ and the
incredibly insane Java IDEs, because at last there was a product
that allowed me to leverage a lot of the power found in those
products, but with a really, really, really nice IDE.
Is there an existing feature request for pre-emptive threads that
I've overlooked a link to?
