Fair point - to a degree - they have kept improving the Datawindow technology to an impresive degree - and Datawindows are arguably 90% what PowerBuilder is about - but they didn't improve the Powerbuilder language at all really - no For/Each, no computed properties, no operator overloading - the list goes on - REALbasic beats Powerbuilder as a language. And the native compiler was a joke. No one used it ( mind you mostly they didn't need to - interpreted mode was fine )
But as far as I am aware no other company has anything approaching the power and flexibility of Datawindows.
