Do get info on your app from inside the Finder on your intel mac.

Under the "General" section, choose "open using Rosetta"

This will force your app's PPC binary to execute. If it is not selected then your apps i386 binary is executing natively, it's as easy as that.

Simply have your client (or do it yourself) toggle between these settings and see if the problems you are experiencing have to do with the i386 runtime, or Rosetta Emulation, or PPC native execution.
