Apart from my own OOFILE (C++ but open source - see http://
www.oofile.com.au/databasedev.html) there has been a LOT of work done
on the patterns for database mapping. OOFILE was somewhat heretical
12 years ago, industry API's and thinking have converged on much of
what it does since.
