My declares were ok........ Turns out it was something to do with a contextual menu..... why exactly I am not sure...... I will be trying to replicate in a small project today.....

Do you have any declare statements? If those are wrong, crashes like
this can happen (and the fact that you are switching platforms would
be good evidence of this). Failing that, what does the Console report
after this crash? That might help you track down the culprit.
