I agree with Peter -- it sounds like you've got the file still held
open somehow.  Perhaps you have more than one reference to it, and
you've closed one but not the other.  FWIW, I use CreateTextFile all
the time and have never had any problems with it (except when the file
is already open, as described).

This has not happens to for some time, as Ed wrote it looks to be more frequently on 10.3.x I always and was then closing my files. I remember that you also told me that the file is closed by auto when it goes out of scope, but I always close it.

I found a workaround on this, so it is not longer a problem for me.

One of my "security workaround" when I save a new file and this happens is to change folderitem and save the file to desktop, that have happens twice on 10.4.x for me and also I know one of my users reported it.. But on 10.3.x it happens very often.

I also use CreateTextFile, about 90-100 times a day perhaps more..

I don't know what to say about this, I have a very small "function" with local created textoutputstream, and it should go out of scope...
