Once in the past, my I used too long short and long Version
strings. This forced the behaviour
you described. Don't know, if the problem was permanent. At least
it appeared quite often.
Just clear the two field of the App object and see if the app works
better. Since
it only takes 2 minutes, it's worth a try.
