That's great for finding and deleting the temporary files RB saves in your project folder when you save a copy of a project.
But if you're using the UB version of the IDE, RB saves a potentially much larger number of files in your temporary folder every time it launches. I've dragged a copy of private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/ to my Dock so I can open the folder anytime RB isn't running and nuke the 16 files it leaves on my machine at each launch. I'm not using any plugins currently or the number would be much higher. When I had the MBS plugins loaded, it was leaving over 100 of these temporary files on each launch. (The file path may vary on your machine, depending on your user ID -- I set up my PowerBook with me as the second user and my user ID on that machine is 502, so the "folders" portion of the above file path is "folders.502" on the laptop.) Unfortunately the naming scheme is not that clear that I would feel safe leaving it up to a script to delete them. The file names all seem to start with "Temp" but some have a hyphen after that and some don't. Some have 4 numbers after that and some have five. It's vague enough that I couldn't guarantee another applilcation isn't using the same naming scheme. They don't even have the same MacType or MacCreator codes. Of course I could save myself the bother of doing this if I rebooted my machine regularly, but I tend to leave it running for days at a time, as I assume most OS X users do. And because RAM consumption by this version of RB seems to increase significantly with each run, I need to relaunch RB often throughout the day, exasperating the problem. I'm not sure if everyone has already been thinking what I'm thinking, but as a quick fix, Spotlight makes it very easy to get rid of those temp files...
