Work-around ?
Yes: to show the application Icon, modify the application name (once compiled),
press the Return Key, et voilĂ .
Do not forget to remove the name modification to get your desired / original
name!
Another option is create an AppleScript droplet that can update the
Finder for you, then drop your built app's icon on it.
Copy the following code into Script Editor.
on open fileList
set theApp to first item in fileList
tell application "Finder"
update theApp
end tell
end open
Save it as an application and you're in business.
