So lets get this straight... You guys want RS to show everybody
their
source code for the IDE and framework. Sure you don't want to get
them to
O.S. their compiler as well ? Im sure they'd love our help
debugging that.
Give me a break...
No. We didn't suggest they should give the code to anyone.
Go back and read Andy's post.
I concurred with him saying "Access to framework source is the kind
of thing that WOULD prompt me to pay for Developer membership"
I don't want the code to the IDE (others might)
Nor the code to the compiler (since that is, from what I know,
still C++ and I really never liked compiler writing)
But code to the framework classes (listboxes, editfields, etc)
would be great.
Although I don't really think this'll happen I still signed on to the
request. I've submitted patches to Quesa in the past that have
addressed issues with RB3D, so this sort of thing can work given the
chance. Admittedly, most of the reports in my watch list are IDE and
compiler related - but I neither want to see nor touch the source for
either of those beasts...
Frank.
