I take your point. I (mis)read Navdeep Bains' comment that "REALBasic 2005 and higher are literally *unusable* with even the smallest projects on my eMac 800Mhz with a gig of RAM" as referring to built applications and/or those run in the debugger. But if this is understood to be referring to the performance of the IDE then I couldn't agree with that either, since I've had no problems in this regard up to and including RB2006v2. Which would also appear to be your own experience?

I'm not entirely clear as to what point my comments are reinforcing, but if we're still referring to the IDE and the problem that Paul, Dennis and Navdeep have identified as having appeared in RB2007v1 then I'm in no position to comment, since my experience stops at 2006v2.

It's very likely that I was predisposed to misread Navdeep's post by my feeling that the regular remarks both here and on the Forum regarding RB's 'lack of speed' are unfair and misleading, at least as far as my own experience goes. And although I replied to a statement that wasn't made, and in the wrong place, I don't think it does any harm for those who share this view (it can't be just me, can it?) to express it occasionally.
