Can someone point me in the direction of discussions about different techniques for software registration. We have a IDE which we'd like to make available as shareware. What is the current state of play regarding how to provide a registration mechanism? We accept that we can't stop the determined hacker, but what technologies exist which could restrict the possibility of unscrupulous people making multiple copies of the software and distributing it with the one registration code?
