I'll need an inexpensive solution to mysql soon, and I'll have to create one if I can't find one. I've been looking.
I believe the current project at this site can be the basis for such a solution: http://tangentsoft.net/mysql++/ The work is LGPL, which means you can modify it and link with it and it will not infect your code. I am not yet at the point I can do a plugin. When I get to that point, I will learn how to do it, but the ETA (Estimated Time to Arrival) is unknown.
