You can only write to this directory at installation time. And doing
do requires the user to authenticate, which is why applications that
make use of this directory ship with an installer, which requires the
user to authenticate.
This directory is definitely not for write use at application run time.

root:wheel. I can test to see if I can write to it, which I can't.

wanted to know how I can write my xml file to this directory.
I would really love it if I could test the dir if the user could
write and
if not the app would open a auth dialog to allow for elevation of
rights.
