Frank,
Have you tried renaming the app? I usually just insert a space, press
return and then rename it back the way I want it. (You could just
duplicate it too)

I'm not very familiar with universal/Intel stuff. I noticed
an .icns file inside the package, that shows garbage when opened in
Preview. The same project produces correct iconss for e.g. Carbon
builds.
