I never do this. If I'm on a plane I want to work on something in
peace. Or at least look out the window... ;-) But sure, a lot of
people do that. I like it just for my MAIL though, not some generic
info feed.

Well, if I'm using RB at work, for work and the company won't make an
exception for something this important, then I'd be concerned about
the company. If one is not using RB at work oops, that loophole just
got closed.
But, you right this is NOT the biggest fish REAL has to fry.
