To the Community: REAL has a point about consolidation; by taking the list elsewhere I think you're diluting yourselves. I think the lists are a great supplement to the documentation -- better than a wiki, even. Sure, it's great to get it by email, but another great strength is the centralized quality of it: there are mirrors and archives of the lists, and if you're looking for info, that's a good place to start. By starting your own lists, you're causing more redundancy than what prompted REAL to want to drop the lists in the first place.
Diluting ourselves? Please have a reality check and reread why people on this mailing list hate the forums. Your position that we are diluting ourselves takes what these people have stated and voted for with their feet by going to the new list is out right disrespectful. Like RS, you have not addressed the core issues. Nobody who hates the forums is saying that people should not use them, but those who hate the mailing list have opposed their will on us who choose the mailing lists. Who is truly diluted to think that the mailing list users would act like lemmings and hop, skip, and jump to the forums!? The decision to kill the mailing lists is based on lies and no good thing can come from lies. Have fun on the forums as you listen to sound of one hand clapping. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> REAL Software has decided to consolidate this mailing list with the online Forums.
