We've been using the version control format with svn with good
success on both Mac and Windows, although we're not using different
platforms on any one project. We do not see any problems related to
line endings, although we do see the apparently unnecessary dirtiness
in a couple of files that weren't really (or at least shouldn't have
been) changed.
We are using RB 2007r1, and I've just had a peak at one of the files
with a hex editor, and confirmed that all the line endings appear to
be Unix - i.e., hex 0A.
Our repositories are hosted by devguard.com, and we are able to do
accurate diffs with webSVN, as well as with smartSVN on the Mac and
TortoiseSVN on Windows. I'm not sure what might be different about
our configuration than yours, but it IS working for us.

because the current mechanism is failing dramatically.
