Actually, Norm and I are in agreement except that I took it further  
based on our legal input.  It is a fine line either way, so simply  
contacting the author of the original code for a non-GPL licensed  
version of the code is the best solution all around.

Oh, and make sure that the author you contact has the right to  
release under the alternate license.  As in the case of Bob's  
Extended plugin, he can't provide an alternate license as he built  
his code based upon Victor's GPL'd NTL code.  In order to provide a  
non-GPL version of his plugin, he must go back to Victor and get  
Victor to provide him with a non-GPL version of the NTL code.  At  
that point, Bob could then re-release the plugins as non-GPL.
