Hi, I am also setting up some simple excel automation with RB 5.5.5 (Mac). All was running fine until I switched my build settings from Pef to Mach-O.
With a Mach-O build running in the debugger, I get the following OLE error message: "no automation server present" the same code running in RB 2007 demo gives "OLE not supported on this platform" Once I switch back to Pef in either version of RB, the file works as expected.
