I don't believe it is or ever was. As far as I can remember, it is a  
custom canvas based control that they use.

Nothing. AFAIK, RB's editfield was never intended to be either a full  
word processor or a platform for designing code for an application.  
These are specialized uses that go far beyond what I feel is its  
intended function.

Although it has matured over the years and has had new features  
added, I always considered it simply as a control to enter text for  
later use.
