My first experience with computers was over a 110 baud modem on an old teletype to a Data General Nova with BASIC.
Saving my pennies I shopped around. The TRS-80 caught my eye. But Level I BASIC was horrid. The wait for Level II and saving the extra cash to move up was excruciating. (That was 1976 or 77).
