Actually, I rename the original file with a temp name first so the  
new file is saved with the original file's name in the same location  
(I just append some random numbers to the filename). Since the old  
file's deleted as soon as the new file's successfully saved, the only  
time the user might see the temp file name is if there was a crash or  
power outage or something during the save operation.
