I have been thinking about just using a regular Laz-Y-Boy style recliner. They are far more comfortable than any office chair I've ever sat in, plus they have the leg rest and such. Since it's fairly difficult to slide a recliner around (on carpet it's nearly impossible), I think I'd need a table on wheels to hold my monitors, and then I could just push that table out of the way when I need to get into or out of the chair (keyboard and mouse could just sit on a board across my lap, resting on the recliner's arms probably). Most tables are too tall, so I'd need a table that is (a) adjustable to a low height, and (b) on wheels/casters or able to have wheels/casters added. Oh, and (c) extra caffeine to keep from dozing off. Has anyone actually tried a setup like this?
