just to throw more wood to the bonfire... i have tried my invention, and it works out pretty well. Your bed is more comfortable than any chair that you could even find because you defeat gravity. The keyboard is so comfortable that your arms rest well on the matress and you just hold very naturally your palms and push the keymap as fast as you would in vertical position. It is also adjustable, i previously designed it to rotate around an axes but after I tested it so comfortable, i just opted for stability since there was no need for different angles. The only problem after several days of testing was my head and heart sometimes gets a little upset, but that was only because I stayed working 24 round the clock and did not even get up to go to the bathroom. As in the other cases you need mobility and breaks, so I solved the problem with the rotating model release v2.0 as you can also see a picture on the flickr website.
Anyway, it just works very well, you can overwork and also fall asleep, so there are extremes you could fall because of too much comfort. So a routine or schedule can help you make good use of the bedstation. You just have to personalize your schedule and that is it. I do combine this furniture with physical therapy, recreation, and reading, and time sitting in a regular chair as well, and it goes smoothly. I will post pictures of newer releases when they become available, of course this project is not sponsored so I take donations if you want me to develop more features. The design and supervision is overseen personally so everything on the furniture is customizable :) luis On 4/8/07, Walter Purvis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I just want it to be so incredibly comfortable that I could > > sit in it for 20 hours straight without having the feeling > > of death encroaching :) > > I have been thinking about just using a regular Laz-Y-Boy style recliner. > They are far more comfortable than any office chair I've ever sat in, plus > they have the leg rest and such. > > Since it's fairly difficult to slide a recliner around (on carpet it's > nearly impossible), I think I'd need a table on wheels to hold my monitors, > and then I could just push that table out of the way when I need to get into > or out of the chair (keyboard and mouse could just sit on a board across my > lap, resting on the recliner's arms probably). > > Most tables are too tall, so I'd need a table that is (a) adjustable to a > low height, and (b) on wheels/casters or able to have wheels/casters added. > Oh, and (c) extra caffeine to keep from dozing off. > > Has anyone actually tried a setup like this?
