Please give the forums a chance. We are looking into options to
improve them to work as best for everyone as possible.
In response to someone's suggestion, we have set up RSS on our
forum. You can subscribe to the entire forum's RSS by using the
following URL:
feed://forums.realsoftware.com/rss.php
If you would like to subscribe to an individual forum, then you can
do this by providing the individual forum id in the URL. To get the
forum id you can look at the link for the forum you are interested
in, such as Database, which is:
http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewforum.php?f=3
The forum id is the value that is provided for the 'f' variable in
the URL, so in this case the id for the Databases forum is 3. You can
put this same variable in your RSS URL in order to subscribe to that
particular forum. Here is an example for the Databases forum:
feed://forums.realsoftware.com/rss.php?f=3

I think Alfred is right, this list has consisted of very few
people (mostly the plugin authors), trying to get their issues up
on the table at REALsoftware.
This list has absolutely nothing in common with the forums.
I'm not sure I understand why the Plugins forum isn't a good place
for plugin-related issues, concerns, etc.
For all the same reason the other forums are not very usable :
1) slow
2) can't be accessed offline (where you can always read your mail)
3) it's blocked in some work places so if you're working on
something and need an answer you can't even get to them
4) they are not as searchable as your local mail (Spotlight is
awesome for this function)
5) there's no "push" to the forums so unless some one is actively
perusing them you'll wait longer for a reply than the lists
