I had to chime in on this.
JT
Going to a realtor to learn about real estate is
like going to a used car salesman to learn how the car works, for the most part
neither understands the products they sell, just self promotion and commission
checks are what they are focused on.
Gordon,
you assume to much, she is a newbie real estate
investor, read her email address
Find the busiest agent in your market
area........the "busiest" because he/she is the most ethical, who are you kidding, I think we have a true believer here. LOL! If
you believe successful people are the most ethical than by all means start your
day with a thorizin drip.
But if what you are really offering is
"nothing"...........then go away, and stop trashing our way of
life........the agents in this crazy business that CARE are trying to offer the
"sellers" some sort of program to justify the crazy commissions we charge. If
you are offering "nothing".......then charge the sellers "nothing". what this passage means is that Gordon is frustrated and does not
make much money. Judging by his website around 19 listings and and 13 agents, as
per your litmus test for success, I guess you guys need to work on your
ethics
In short Gordon don't be such
a dick with someone who is trying to better themselves, hopefully you are not
this person and just responded due to the stress of a bad day. Gordon, sorry to
jump on you Someone needs to help poor Maria out here. Not just transfer
they own negativity on her for asking a simple
question Maria
do not let negative people spoil your goals for
you, as for learning real estate investing from a real estate agent, you may
find one to do that from, good luck, 90 percent of them have no idea what we do
and will be quick to dismiss us as it interferes with their limited knowledge of
real estate, Generally the busiest brokers in town are not investor's, just
good marketers and someone who has paid there dues in the market and has name
recognition, which ( good for them for achiveing their goals).
Maria, as far as buying seller leads spend your
money doing your own marketing, I have tried to buy leads and they all are junk,
picked over many times and sold to many people. get a couple books on marketing
and make a plan. Try the Guerrilla marketing series by Jay Conrad
Levinson
Here is another tip, go to www.nationalreia.com and find your local
real estate club there you can network with like minded people. Real estate
investing can be a springboard to helping you achieve goals and
dreams
Thats all I have to say about that.
