Auto installation would be great. It might aleviate
the tons of "you need a new player to view this clip"
error messages that fill up my rmerror log everday.
After all the auto update features seem to work great.
My players are always telling me when new stuff is
availble and asking me if I wish to upgrade.
It seems to me there are way to many older players out
there being bundled with computers or software
packages that are getting into the hands of people who
don't understand downloading and installing new
versions of programs. And I would agree with the
statement about "if I can't download it no one else
will". I often wonder how many people are never
coming back to our site because they just assume that
this new fangled streaming technology just don't work.
So there's your challenge Real Networks....How can you
make this stuff idiot proof.
