haha. compression is all about making smaller file sizes. how could you 
_not_ be
concerned about them.

generally - the harder the compression the harder the smaller the file.

if you're not 'concerned' about the file size then you should choose a
non-destructive compression method.

it propably won't be that easy finding one that makes somewhat smaller files.

so, then you'll have to recide to a destructive compression method, which will
make you have to decide how much compression you want contra how much it will
affect the quality of the media.

realvideo will, probably anyway, fall under none of these categories. it's
indended to opt for small-bandwidth video-streaming, not for quality in itself.

quicktime with the sorensen codec is pretty good, so is some of the mpeg 
setups.
