That's called "SureStream" which works only with a RealServer. Another 
difference is that without RealServer, the user can't "seek" or "fast 
forward" within the file (nearly) instantaneously. For example, if you have 
a half-hour .rm file, and the user moves the slider in RealPlayer to 
fast-forward it to play starting at 25 minutes into the file, with 
RealServer the file will start playing from the 25 minute mark within the 
normal "buffering" time of a few seconds, but without RealServer, it will 
take 25 minutes for the file to start playing from the 25 minute mark.
