Are you using an http server or a Real Networks server? I am experiencing IE
5.0 crash when running a test site on a http server and I suspect it may be
because my ISP configuration is not 'optimal'. Running the same code locally
I experience no problems at all.

Here's the details:
Pentium 200 system, 128 Mb ram, Win NT 4.0 SP5, Diamond Viper V330 video
card
IE 5, all "critical" and "recommended" updates from Microsoft windows update
Real Player G2 installed, no updates available (except for a few plug ins I
don't want like Liquid Audio)
System is stable in all other respects.
Anytime I view a page with embedded Real content, I can view the content
perfectly.
If I click "back" to exit the page, all is well.
If I click the "close window" X or if I select "File - Exit" the screen goes
black, there is no keyboard response, and no hard drive activity. It will
sit there for hours - I once left it in this condition overnight to see what
might happen. I am forced to power off or hit the reset button to re-boot.
This has happened on at least six different sites. I have had no problems
with Java sites or Flash sites.
If I open the Real Player window and view files from the player, there is no
problem exiting, even with IE running in the background. Only happens with
embedded content.
Them's the facts! Thankx.
