Why would you want to go from balanced to unbalanced?
Anyways, we have both a Mackie 1202-VLZ and an Alesis 3630
Compressor/limiter w/ a gate as well. Very useful. Takes some fiddling
though. dBx makes excellent compressor/limiters as well - although they
work best when coupled with a good 12-freq's-per-channel EQ that also has a
master volume as well.

We are capturing audio and video from a Beta SP and had to get a level and
impedance converter to go from balanced audio to unbalanced. This device
works great and we're getting great results without having to do any audio
