Subject: Flash - realVideo communication
hello,
i'm trying to create a flash based ui with overlaying realVideo (ala
smil). my question is how can i directly communicate between flash and real?
in some of the smil tutorials, there are examples of links that can target
the video layer, for example:
<a href="command:seek(0:10.0)" target="_player"> First headline</a>
the sample also has this note:
<!-- NOTE:
instead of seeking forward/backward in the presentation, you can
hyperlink
to different .smi files.
E.G.
replace <a href="command:seek(0:10.0)" target="_player"> First
headline</a>
with <a href="sample.smi" target="_player">
-->
the problem is that flash seems to just do http url calls. anyone know
how i can specifically target the real content from flash? it seems that
this is targeting the player - can this be done if it's embedded into the
browser?
also is it possible to swap content in a smil layer - ie. load a new
movie without refreshing the flash content?
thanks,
[ammon]
