Subject: Unix Producer
Has anyone encoded content using the Real Producer Plus for Unix on the
Compaq Alpha/Tru64 Platform?
Is it possible to encode from a static file? If so what formats are
accepted by the encoder? Or is it only possible to encoding from a live
source (via Osprey 150 and Sound Card)?
I'm wondering about the possibility of running multiple instantiations of
the producer as separate processes for parallel batch encoding.
I'm also interested in any information on video capture/edit utilities that
are available for Compaq Alpha/Tru64 or Compaq Alpha/Linux and Intel/Linux.
I seem to remember a very robust Sun Solaris Real Producer Broadcast Edition
being offered about 6 months ago. Is this still available? Was it ever?
Any information is much appreciated.
