Subject: Codec not found
I use real Producer to create RM files, available for download from my
site. Frequently I get emails from people saying they are recieving this
error. I have encouraged them to make sure they have the most current
version of the G2 player, and usually that solves the problem. But not
always. So, I refund their money, and apologize.
Couple of questions,.
I originally create the files as AVI files, edit them, add some effects
etc.. and then recompile them using the Real Producer 6.1.0.153. Sometimes
I create the AVI uncompressed and other times, I use a compression on the
file, usually Cinepak compression, but not always.
Does the original compression have an effect on the Real Players ability to
View the file? Could this be the problem?
One gentleman has told me that my movies failed to run on a Mac operating
8.0, but 8.1 worked fine. Could this be true, or maybe a chance coincident?
