To take a wholistic approach, there is no such thing as
"professional-sounding" when you're talking about RealAudio. It just ain't
there.
Bearing that in mind, a Sound Blaster Live! card will do the job and not
cost much. Although they weight their specs rather heavily; don't trust
their numbers...they say a $125 SBLive card has a lower S-to-N ratio than a
$600 AudioMedia III card?? As Homey da Clown sez..."I don't THINK so!"
Regardless, you don't need terribly high audio quality to do Realaudio, and
an SB will do the trick just fine.
Now, to answer your question: AudioMedia III's are good cards, about $350
(www.digidesign.com). Antex, also good cards, about $500 (depends on the
model)(www.antex.com). There's also LynxOne,Turtle Beach and CardD
