A client recently installed 3Com BigPicture on an NT 4 workstation (SP3), for
use with RealProducer Plus G2, 32bit, v6.0.3.271. The BigPicture camera works
fine using its own video capture utility and with NetMeeting v3. However, if
Video is enabled in RealProducer, as soon as RealProducer is opened, the
machine slows to a crawl, and Task Manager/Processes shows that RealProducer
is using up 90%+ of the CPU while creating a file. Once RealProducer is shut
down, it takes about 3 minutes for it to disappear from Task Manager, and as
soon as it does the workstation performance returns to normal.

Any solutions? Is it possible that RealProducer is asking for more disk space
(though we think we already have enough without the swap files feeling
cramped). What's a safe amount of spare disk space to have if we want a frame
rate of 15? What about a rate of twice that number? Please email me at

Thanks!
