Subject: webcams in SMIL
Folks is there a way to get a webcam still image to appear in the window of
a RealPlayer?
Yes, I know - make an image-source tag...but that'll load the image ONCE
and then either let it disappear or freeze it. Neither of which I
want...what I want to do is have the webcam image update itself in
intervals varying from 10 seconds to 60 seconds depending on the customer
(some prefer the shorter intervals, some want to save bandwidth and go with
longer waits)(this means one webcam would be every 10 seconds...a different
webcam every 30...etc etc. NOT that ONE webcam would be 10 seconds and
then 20 and then 15 and then 60, etc etc.
I can't get a Java applet that normally does this to work in SMIL...and the
repeat tag will make the audio source (a live stream) reload itself as
well, right?
I think I might be really screwing up my code so if you can post a reply
with code or direct me to the right reference I'd be most grateful...
Thanks,
