It sounds like we have similar problems. To be sure, when you say that
you can get url links inside of realpix files to work, do you mean by
specifying the urls in the <head> tag. For example:

preroll="0:03"
duration="0:03"
timeformat="dd:hh:mm:ss.xyz"
width="88"
url="http://www.insinc.ca"
height="32"/>
This doesn't seem to be working on our system anymore--but it did a few
weeks ago when I wrote it.
To answer your question, we're using RealServer G2 v6.1 running under
Linux.
