Joseph,
Check that you are using the most recent rmevents tool that would have come
with the newer RealProducer. We experienced some trouble merging events
with video when we used an older version of rmevents. Also there is a
RMUTILITIES patch available somewhere on the Real site (I don't remember
exactly where I found it)that may also fix the problems you are
experiencing.

Subject: trouble with events files

Hey everyone,

I just recently started to produce "web programs". I am using rmevents to
"bind" an events.txt to the video stream so it will display html "slides" in
a frame.

When I tried this with an audio only clip I have no trouble, however when I
use the same event.txt on a video clip I get an unusable file. I have tried
several approaches such as separating events by at least three seconds (even
though documentation says only 1/10th sec. is necessary) and upgrading to
the newest RealProducer Plus (6.1). I get a "general error occurred"
message or the G2 Player just locks up.

I want to stay away from SMIL so we can include 5.0 users (our audience is
still using 486s).

The audio and video clips were created simultaneously from a live feed on
two separate boxes. Each plays fine before attaching the event.txt.

Anyone have similar experience or any ideas what I might be doing wrong???

All help is greatly appreciated, thanx.

Josesph Raymon
