Subject: FW: trouble with events files

I just wanted to let everyone know that I seemed to have worked out the
problem. There appears to be a problem with rmevents when running Win NT
with service pack 5. When I used the same rm and txt files on a win 98
system I had no problem with the events stream.

Thanx to those who offered help,

Joseph

Subject: trouble with events files

Hey everyone,

I just recently started to produce "web programs". I am using rmevents to
"bind" an events.txt to the video stream so it will display html "slides" in
a frame.

When I tried this with an audio only clip I have no trouble, however when I
use the same event.txt on a video clip I get an unusable file. I have tried
several approaches such as separating events by at least three seconds (even
though documentation says only 1/10th sec. is necessary) and upgrading to
the newest RealProducer Plus (6.1). I get a "general error occurred"
message or the G2 Player just locks up.

I want to stay away from SMIL so we can include 5.0 users (our audience is
still using 486s).

The audio and video clips were created simultaneously from a live feed on
two separate boxes. Each plays fine before attaching the event.txt.

Anyone have similar experience or any ideas what I might be doing wrong???

All help is greatly appreciated, thanx.

Josesph Raymon
