We've spent quite a bit of time streaming out images
from webcams. Your best bet is to ceck out
PixDropper. It'll *automate* the process of taking
updating images (JPEGs) from multiple webcams and
allow you to stream them out as a live RealPix (.rp)
file which can be combined with RealAudio via SMIL.
Unlike simply coding the image refreshes into SMIL,
with PixDropper you'll also be able to choose from
multiple window layouts, image refresh times, and
image sources on the fly. This way you can insert
ads, manually "jockey" the image content, etc. along
with your webcam images. You will also be able to
automatically monitor several webcams at the same
time, and leave it on "autopilot".
