Subject: Re: Suggestions on audio with PPT slides
Sarah,
You will need the "Real Presenter" package. This installs a tool into
PowerPoint that enables you to publish the finished presentation to play
back on
Real Player.
PowerPoint includes an ability to add narration to each slide, but the
important
thing is to remember to check the box that says "Link narrations in.." This
automatically creates an individual audio file for each slide even though you
keep the narratinon going as a single stream. After you have added the
narration, use the "rehearse timings" to fine tune the slide duration to the
sound track.
There is a whole lot more that can then be done to improve the sound quality,
but essentially you are now finished. Drop down the tools menu and click on
"Publish to Real" then follow the screen instructions to finish the job.
I use this all the time for internal and external presentations and once
youve
done it a couple of times - it's easy.
Cheers, Cliff
