Hello :) I've been wanting to try out RealXtend in local mode, and I am coming across the same problem I had way back when when I tried to install OpenSim way back when. It's probably a NAT problem but here goes.
On Vista 64 I am getting this error "unable to connect to authentication server" I suspect it is my lan settings - I am on a wireless network. I am about to install it on my XP system to see if maybe I can connect to it over my wlan but disappointed that it will not work at all in local mode. I suspect someone has overcome this problem so any suggestions would be great :) :) I've got IPV4 and IPV6 active, unsure if that is causing the trouble. (need IPV6 though for network discovery) I did google some stuff about IPV6 interfering so I hope it's not that. I could wire the two boxes together with ethernet cable I guess, unsure if that will overcome the problems. I'd really like to play with it on my personal network and mess with the content creation stuff, so any help would be fab. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ http://groups.google.com/group/realxtend http://www.realxtend.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
