For anyone who has been following my list of issues over the last week (any for
any future VW Rex travellers) I have found a simple resolution to my biggest
problem.

The invisible prims problem has been solved by simply reducing the available
bandwidth (Preferences>Network>Max Bandwidth to 249 kbps (its was about 600 or
so). This is very good news. I presume it just means that the viewer has a
problem keeping up with the stream of prim updates at a faster rate - this may
give some info to the guys chasing the 'packet loss bug' that Tuco mentioned.

I am thoroughly delighted with this result and I will be continuing with my
experiments with realXtend - now I just have to learn Python to really make it
fly!!! - Anyone have any recommended links to Python tutorials etc...

Of course I have only temporarily forgotten about my other problems ;-)

1) selecting prims - I have to point to somewhere outside of the prim boundary
space to selec - this is especially difficult for small prims surrounded by
larger prims.

2) avatar continually hovers 6 inches or so off the ground.

Thanks to everyone who answer my calls for help over the last week.
