I just downloaded RC2, but it still has the same behaviour, meaning
that the login screen completly freezes on startup and i cant enter
any account infos nor change login options.
Ah apparently you already had already told you are using rc2.
I'm a bit confused now: in the later post you said that the ui works
first otherwise, but you get a freeze when click on quick login buts?
And then a crash at some point 'cause got a dump?
So did the behaviour you describe above change somehow, and you are not
having that complete freeze at startup anymore, but can e.g. change
login options now? Does doing a manual login to some server work? You
can try to e.g. the demo worlds manually, beneath the waves is on,
opensim auth: world.realxtend.org (naali defaults to port 9000 now) ..
and you can put in anything as the user name and password.
Are there maybe any firewall or antivirus settings that could be
blocking ?
No, they will not affect the UI that way - at least not before you
actually start a login and get the progress bar etc.
A more probable reason is something related to qt graphics views drawing
code which we use to combine the ui with ogre.
Im using Win XP Pro SP3 (32bit version) and latest fixes, Windows
Haven't heard of this kind of probs on xp earlier, worked for me when
tested.

The log message says: "The real fix to QWebView lockup: Direct3d consistent

have to ask him.
