You shouldn't need to change anything -- just download Taiga, run the
config wizard, and run the bat (or on unix the start.screen thing) that
starts all servers.

In the previous mails the guys meant that when logging in to Taiga with
a viewer you should login to port 8002, 'cause that is where the
loginurl is by default.

This perhaps means that your region server now tries to use the same
port (8002) as the user or something server which handles the logins and
crashes at startup.

The idea with Taiga is to use openid accounts, so you don't need the old
style realxtend account, which is basically same as openid but
nonstandard.

Rex accounts do work with Naali also and the av stuff is most mature
with them -- to make one you need to install the old rex av & auth
server, which is at least bundled in the old 0.5 server release. Taiga
doesn't ship with it.

Taiga == Opensim + modrex, i.e. it already comes with Taiga (that is the
whole idea of Taiga, it is a distribution of opensim with modrex
included :)

Both work, 0.3.3 just has a bug in the terrain so that it doesn't show
shadows (is fixed in develop already).

Just run it out of the box and should work..

We use both 32 and 64 bit on both win and linux, doesn't seem to be a
prob -- there is some start32bit .exe in opensim for opensim itself, I
think because the ode physics don't work in 64 bit mode or something --
IIRC the start servers .bat in Taiga uses this by default.
