That's because the demo itself is broken. (It was unintentionally added to the distribution).
Will the demo in question be fixed, replaced, or removed? I think it's a useful one.
Sorry, but I don't have time to fix it. (If I had had time, I would have finished it correctly in the first place ;-).
If someone else sends me a correct version, I'll certainly include it. Otherwise it'll be removed from the distribution.
