Tablespoons of melted butter or margarine makes a great topping for
grilled fish or chicken.
3 Tbsp. (45mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend1 Tbsp. (15mL)
unsalted margarine1/2 cup (120mL) chopped Spanish onion1 lb (454g)
ground sirloin1 clove garlic, minced1/2 cup (120mL) tomato sauce1/2 cup
(120mL) water14.5 Oz. (406g) diced tomatoes, in juice1/2 cup (120mL)
chopped green pepper1 cup (240mL) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1. Heat margarine in large saucepan.2. Add onion and green pepper;
cook until tender.3. Add beef, Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy, and
garlic.4. Cook until meat is no longer pink, stirring to break up;
drain fat.5. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water.6. Bring to a
boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 15 minutes, stirring
occasionally.7. Add beans and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
