Chicken And Sausage Sauce Piquante Ingredients: 2 pounds smoked pork sausage 3 pounds boneless chicken thigh meat 1 can diced tomatoes 4 green onions 2 cans barbecue sauce 1 large yellow onion 3 stalks celery, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 4 teaspoons garlic 1/2 teaspoon chile pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil 1/2 teaspoon white pepper 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 cup chicken base Directions: Cook sausage, onions, celery, bell pepper and green onions over medium heat until soft. Add tomatoes and three cups of water. Add seasonings and chicken. Cook for one hour on low boil.
